The Malawi Human Rights Youth Network (MHRYN) entered into partnership with Kalondolondo to implement Community Based Monitoring activities to assess construction of teachers’ houses projects under the Local Development Fund (LDF) in Lilongwe.
MHRYN with funding from USAID through national democratic institute (NDI)
Previous elections and campaigns were observed as not being issue focused but mostly based on propaganda and character assassination. Young people take part in politics through youth wings which politicians also take advantage to misuse youths to advance their evil agendas such as disturbing political opponents’ rallies.
MHRYN Organizes Signing Ceremony
MHRYN organized a signing ceremony of commitment towards the youth and children’s issues at engagement meetings held on 3rd , 4th and 7th April, 2014 at the Bingu International Conference Hall in Lilongwe. The issues were raised as part of the advocacy for children and youth during the run-up to the Malawi’s 2014 Tripartite Elections.
